Over the last several weeks, Fireside has experienced an increasing number of orders brought to us via UBER EATS. Unfortunately, this is not something that has been set-up by the restaurant, rather done independently by UBER EATS themselves.
What this means is that they have taken a version of our menu, not 100% accurate, posted it on their website/app, and are accepting orders for the Fireside independent of our contribution to the process.
It also means that your order is NOT being placed with the Fireside until the driver physically arrives at the building, gives our employees the order, and then waits until it is finished being cooked, packaged, etc.
Essentially, if you place your order at 6pm, but the driver doesn’t show up until 6:15pm, the order does not get to our cooks until after 6:15pm. Add in the factor of how busy we may be at the time the driver shows up to place the order, and the timeframe to actually receive your order at your door is stretched out even further.
What this all means on our end is that we are entirely dependent on the driver communicating the order properly, as you intended, since we are not seeing the order directly (as would be the case if we had set up the account and the orders came straight to us).
We have reached out to Uber Eats to rectify this problem, but as of now, have yet to receive any response on their end. We are aiming to get this situation straightened out ASAP, whether it be a total removal of the Fireside from their system, or getting them to set it up properly under our guidance.
